Farmington Fresh Cherries are highly susceptible to weather in the spring. A cherry program is truly at the mercy of Mother Nature. What we do know at Farmington Fresh is that in 2006, we expect the Cherry Season to Begin in late April (around the 20th). We consistently begin the season with the Brooks variety and continue with the Tulare, Chelan Varieties, and a few other newer varieties, then comes the pride of California Cherry deal. Bing Cherries are still the most requested variety. Farmington will finish the season in mid-June with the Rainier variety, which is the white-fleshed cherry and widely regarded as the premium-niche variety.
